- N'golo Kante missed out of France's 1-0 win over Iceland due to injury
- The midfielder was said to have limped off during training before the match
- Didier Deschamps is unsure if the Chelsea star would be available for Monday's clash vs Turkey
France national team coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed that injury forced him to exclude Chelsea star N'golo Kante from his team's Euro 2020 qualifier against Iceland.
Olivier Giroud was responsible for scoring the only goal that handed Les Blues victory over Our Boys at the Laugardalsvollur Arena.
Apart from Kante, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winning team also missed the services of Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe, Samuel Umtiti and a few others, while Ousmane Demebele was not dressed.
While speaking to the media, Deschamps told Daily Star that: "He felt a pain in the adductor muscle.
"He had a feeling where he did not feel comfortable to play. "I made the decision [to pull him from the squad], because maybe it could get even worse. “I knew Moussa would be ready."
France will continue their quest to qualify for the 2020 edition of the championship when they battle Turkey on Monday.
It is however unsure if the former Leicester City man would be fit to play in that fixture as reported by the publication.

"I do not think it’s too serious for NG [Kante], but I do not have an answer tonight,” Deschamps said.
Kante's injury will be of utmost concern to Chelsea boss Frank Lampard as the 28-year-old has been on and off the pitch due to the same reason.
Last month, the highly-rated midfielder was left out of Albania and Andorra clash, but Deschamps decided Kante should return to international duty this month.
Les Blues boss stylishly aimed a dig at Chelsea manager Lampard following Giroud's permanent bench warming role at Stamford Bridge.
"Lampard had asked me not to pick Kante at the last break," Deschamps said.
"If that's still the way I'm going to call him later to tell him it would be nice if you play Olivier Giroud a little bit!"
Chelsea will be hoping Kante will recover in time for their next Premier League fixture against Newcastle.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri is eyeing a reunion with Chelsea star N'Golo Kante at Allianz Stadium.
The Italian born tactician wants to pair the Frenchman with Aaron Ramsey and Miralem Pjanic in his squad as they hope to win Champions League title soon.
At the last count, Sarri is listed in a different class as he spends most of his time working with his squad during training sessions.
