- Dimitar Berbatov has told Manchester United chiefs to bring in striker Mario Mandzukic
- The 38-year-old believes that Mandzukic could end United problems in scoring goals
- He added that even Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi would struggle in current Man United squad
Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov has suggested that signing Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic could be the breakthrough for the Red Devils' goal-scoring problems.
This season has not been a good one for Manchester United in all competitions winning only two Premier League games so far.
And while speaking about the club where he won two Premier League titles, the retired Bulgarian footballer explained that Solskjaer has not recruited enough attackers this season.
Berbatov stressed that Manchester United run so deep this season that even Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo would struggle in the team.

''Everybody can see that Manchester United need a back up, Anthony Martial is injured and there isn't another really strong proven goalscorer.
''They have the talent in the young players but at the same time you need someone like Mandzukic.
''I think he is a really good football player and he hasn't played before in England but I hope if he comes he can straight away get into the rhythm of the Premier League,'' he told Betfair.
He added: "The winter transfer window is going to be difficult and on the pitch Manchester United aren't producing as a team at the moment. It doesn't matter how good you are, Messi or Ronaldo could go there and they would have difficulty because the team is not producing."
Meanwhile, Manchester United will face Liverpool in their next Premier League game, and there are reports that Solskjaer could be sacked if his wards should lose.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan made it clear that he does not believe that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can operate at the required level that is expected from a Man United coach.
Last year when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Mourinho at Old Trafford, he started well, as he went some games unbeaten but United ended up without a trophy.
