Election petition: Melaye says to God be the glory after appeal court loss

Senator Dino Melaye, the ranking lawmaker representing Kogi West at the Senate, on Friday, October 11, confirmed his loss at the appeal court, which ruled against his victory at the 2019 election.

Melaye, who seems calm about the situation, thanked God for the political journey he had embarked on for some time.

“I just lost my election at the appeal court and fresh election ordered. In all things I give God the praise.

“He who started a good thing will definitely complete it,” he said.

He urged his supporters to remain law-abiding as he expressed optimism that he would overcome.

“To God be the glory,” he added.
