Former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel jokingly revealed he wants to become Frank Lampard's assistant at Chelsea when he hangs his boot.
The 32-year-old joined Turkish topflight side Trabzonspor this summer on a two year deal after helping Nigeria win bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations champions in Egypt.
Though he featured in just two games before injury ruled him out of the rest of the tournament according to report from the team's camp earlier this year.
Mikel however wishes his former teammate Lampard success at Stamford Bridge, adding that he would like to join his backroom staff once he quits playing football.

Although, the former Middlesbrough star who made 372 appearances in 11 years, said he knew both Lampard and John Terry would end up managing clubs as reported by Sport Witness quoting 61 Saat.
He said: "I am very happy for Frank. When we were playing at Chelsea, we are expecting that John Terry and he would be very good managers, but we were expecting Terry to reach that level first. But Lampard made a big step.
"His arrival at Chelsea means the club is caring for their legends. I joked with him after the Chelsea move, I want to be his assistant when I retire.
"I hope he will be successful at Chelsea for many more years. I also want to see John Terry in similar jobs in the future because he was our leader on the pitch.”

Lampard kicked off his managerial career at Derby County and almost got them promoted into the Premier League in his first year in charge of the Rams. His side lost out to Aston Villa at the playoffs.
Lampard took over from Maurizio Sarri as the Blues manager despite their inability to sign players due to FIFA ban.
He is however doing wonders at the club as they currently ranks fifth on the table with 14 points from eight matches.
Legit.ng earlier reported that John Obi Mikel made attempts to get Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi dropped from AFCON 2019 starting XI.
The 32-year-old was said to have accused the Everton star of encroaching into his playing space on the pitch during AFCON 2019 tourney in Egypt.
