Manchester United are reportedly ready for a surprise double transfer move for Leicester City duo James Maddison and Ben Chilwell in January.
According to Daily Mail citing UK Sun report, United’s Norwegian manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to end the Red Devils poor start to the Premier League campaign, winning just twice from their opening eight games in the English topflight.
At the moment, Solskjaer has listed two youngsters as main targets, according to The Sun.
Man United are expected to cough out £130m for the Foxes pair to seal the deal.
The report further hinted that Solskjaer will enjoy a heavy transfer budget during the winter window as scouts from Old Trafford have gone ahead to see the pair in action.
Maddison, who doubles as a play-maker and midfielder netted the winning goal against Tottenham as well as Foxes goal at Liverpool on Saturday, October 5, but he will be missing in action for England’s Three Lions on Thursday night.
On the other hand, left-back Chilwell has now become a regular under Brendan Rodgers at the Foxes, with the possibility of getting a starting role for England during the Euro 2020 quaifiers.
