Congregants spotted repeatedly lashing out at poverty with canes (video)

A Nigerian man has taken to social media with a hilarious video that captured the bizarre incident he witnessed while he was driving past a street.

It appears the level of poverty has really gotten to a point where citizens of the country have taken it upon themselves to wage war against the social vice.

However, while there are several poverty alleviation schemes and empowerment programmes options to consider, some group of individuals employed a completely different approach in eradicating poverty in the country, especially in their household.

A social media user identified as stainless_stan, shared a video on his Instagram page, which captured the moment some congregants engaged in a physical battle with poverty.

Aged men and women armed with canes, were seen repeatedly lashing at the floor as they cast and bind the spirit of poverty.
