Sanwo-Olu does not drive against traffic, use siren - Governor’s aide

The chief press secretary to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile, has said that the convoy of the governor does not go against traffic.

Akosile made this known via his social media page on Wednesday, October 9.

One Chidi Odinaku had posted a video on twitter claiming it was a convoy of the governor driving against traffic.

Akosile in his reaction said the convoy of vehicles driving against traffic did not belong to Governor Sanwo-Olu. He said the governor neither drives against traffic nor uses siren.

The governor’s press secretary said investigation is ongoing to know who owns the convoy and urged Lagosians to verify claims before putting them on social media.

Meanwhile Sanwo-Olu says a lot is “happening in the backroom” as regards his efforts at the helm of the state’s affairs.

Sanwo-Olu made the disclosure on Tuesday, October 1, while speaking at The Platform, an annual conference organised by Covenant Christian Centre, The Cable reports. gathers that the governor said there’s no need to make noise about his efforts since May 29 when he assumed office.

He said: “We can do a lot more. A lot of things are happening in the backroom. We don’t need to make a lot of noise about it. What Lagosians want is results.

“It’s a marathon, it is not a sprint. I can assure you that Lagos will not only be greater, Lagos will see a level of development that it has never seen before.”
