Nigerians have hailed Foursquare Gospel Church's actions towards the allegations leveled against a University of Lagos (UNILAG) lecturer, Boniface Igbeneghu. A documentary done by BBC exposed the lecturer offering a female student sex for grades.

On Monday, October 8, BBC exposed Igbeneghu in a recently-released documentary. The lecturer was caught red-handed offering a female student sex for good grades. The documentary is titled Sex for grades: Undercover in West African universities.

Unfortunately, Igbeneghu is also the head pastor of one of the Foursquare Gospel Churches in Nigeria.

Shortly after the video was posted, the leadership of the church released a statement condemning the actions of the lecturer, noting that he has been asked to step down from all his ministerial assignments.

The quick response of the Church has become a subject of discussion on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, as Nigerians compared it to the reaction of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) church.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerians had to protest to get senior pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA to step down from his position after Busola, the wife of popular Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo, accused him of child molestation.

In a series of tweets, Nigerians compared the churches. Some Nigerians hailed the quick response of the Foursquare Church, asking COZA to learn from them.
