Super Eagles striker Moses Simon scores the only goal that inspired his Ligue 1 side FC Nantes to victory over Nice at the Stade de la Beaujoire earlier this weekend.

The 24-year-old fired his side to victory with a towering header after connecting with Abdoul Kader Bamba's in the 86th minute of the meeting.

Simon however took his French League tally to two goals after seven matches so far this season with one assist credited to his name.

The Nigerian international was later replaced in the 90th minute with Samuel Moutoussamy having helped them secure maximum victory.

Nantes are now second behind Paris Saint Germain with 19 points after nine matches on the log and their next match is against Metz.

He will now shift focus to Nigeria's friendly encounter against Brazil scheduled for October 13 in Singapore.

The winger was part of coach Gernot Rohr's side that won bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations championship in Egypt this summer.
