Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr will contend facing Brazil’s Selecao without Spain-based defender Kenneth Omeruo during their friendly on Sunday, October 13, at Singapore National Stadium.

According to a post on NFF official Twitter handle, Benfica ace Tyrone Ebuehi will replace the Leganes defender, who is reportedly injured and was also missing from the Eagles squad that played against Ukraine last month.

The 23-year-old Benfica right-back Ebuehi last featured for Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup is now staging a return to the squad after opting out of Ukraine friendly due to injury.

Eagles boss Rohr is now expected to continue with the pair of William Troost-Ekong and Semi Ajayi in the heart of the defence after their decent show against Ukraine.

Nigeria will be facing the five-time world champions Brazil for the second time at this level during the October 13 friendly.

The South American giants beat Nigeria 3-0 in their first-ever meeting in June 2003 at Abuja National Stadium.

Legit.ng reported earlier that Super Eagles and Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo is back in training after overcoming a head injury he cropped against Livingston during a Scottish Cup tie last week.

Interestingly, before joining his teammates, the Nigeria international was spotted wearing a protective skull cap on Tuesday, October 1 and Wednesday, October 2.
