- Champions League matchday saw Emmanuel Bonaventure nominated for best player award
- But it was Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry who won the accolade after scoring five against Spurs
- Barcelona's Luis Suarez, Dortmund’s Achraf Hakimi and Ajax's Hakim Ziyech were also selected
Champions League Player of the Week award was handed to Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry following his five-star performance against Tottenham in midweek.
The German striker scored five goals in the Bavarians' 7-2 win over last season's finalists at the Tottenham Stadium.
The first half ended in a 2-1 scoreline but it was a goal-feast for the German champions as they scored five more goals in the second half with Gnabry scoring four of them.

Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Bonaventure's brace against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu was not enough to earn him the award.
Other nominees are Barcelona's Luis Suarez, Borussia Dortmund’s Achraf Hakimi and Ajax's Hakim Ziyech.
However, Nigerian international Bonaventure made the team of the week with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
