Obaseki: You won't get a 2nd term, you failed us completely - Edo APC group

The Edo Peoples Movement (EPM) a group formed by leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) group in Edo has alleged that Governor Godwin Obaseki has failed the people of the state.

The group said that Obaseki has not ceased to embark on projects that have not positively impacted the lives of indigenes and residents and that for this and other reasons, the party will look for a better candidate that will fly its flag in 2020.

The group further said that it will choose powerful rivals against the governor and leave the people to make their choice, Vanguard reports.

Moreover, the EDM said that it will support a better leader that will bring about all-round development in the state to justify the massive internally generated revenue and funds from the federal government.

The group said that what is presently obtainable in Edo is not the dream of the national chairman of the APC who was also a governor of the state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Obaseki had declared his interest to run for a second term in office despite crisis and tension in the state chapter of the party.

The governor said that a second term will help him consolidate his delivery of the dividends of democracy in the Edo.
