EFCC nabs 6 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos

- Six suspected fraudsters have been apprehended in Lagos by the state zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

- The suspects were arrested by the anti-graft agency following an intelligence report about their alleged fraudulent activities

- According to the EFCC, the suspects were arrested during a sting operation in the early hours of Thursday, October 3, at the Igando area of Lagos

The Lagos zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended six suspected internet fraudsters in the state and items recovered from them.

Legit.ng gathers that the items the anti-graft agency recovered from the suspects include mobile phones, laptops and a car.

The suspects are identified as Oluwaseyi Gabriel Obe, Omojuyigbe Paul, Olubodun Victor, Alade Amos Opeyemi, Harry Osaremesin and Osaro Aganwonyi.

They were arrested during a sting operation in the early hours of Thursday, October 3, at the Igando area of Lagos.

The EFCC received an intelligence reports about the suspects' alleged involvement in fraud and mobilised to the area to arrest them.

According to the anti-graft agency, the suspects will soon be charged to court.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that operatives of the cybercrime department of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja on Tuesday, September 24, arrested four alleged internet fraudsters.

The names of the suspects who were arrested in the residence at Plot 1202 News Engineering Estate, Dawaki, Abuja, are Osasu Fred Akioyamem, Ehis Ehizoghie Egheomwan, Chukwuemeka Chanimuya and Oris Karim.

According to the EFCC, the suspects were nabbed following intelligence information and surveillance.
