The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Thursday, October 3, informed former corps members with wrong names on the certificates how they can effect the changes.
The NYSC, on its official Twitter page directed affected corps members to write to their various institutions which will in turn write to NYSC for name addition, removal or replacement.
The agency said that this is for former corps members who have submitted their certificates to the NYSC, adding that the information demands immediacy of response.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a corps member named Muhammad Abubakar recently impressed Nigerians with an unexpected show of patriotism.
The young man, who like others receives monthly allowance, called the attention of the NYSC after being overpaid in the month of July.
According to Muhammad, he received his July allowance of N19,800 in the morning of Wednesday, July 31, which he withdrew from his account.
Then, in the evening of that day, he was credited with the same amount again. Not intending to keep this extra pay to himself, Muhammad alerted NYSC on Twitter by tagging them in a post which he shared on his page.
