Producer Jaywon reacts to his missing name on Headies list, says it is nonsense

Popular singer and producer, Iledare Oluwajuwonlo, popularly called Jaywon, has reacted to his missing name on the 13th Headies award nomination list. The singer said that the award has always been nonsense to him.

Jaywon said this after a fan identified as Rai Fokun tweeted about the singer’s missing name on the Best Vocal Performance male category. According to him, the category is incomplete without Jaywon’s name, noting that he is confused about the parameters used to make the list.

Fokun explained that compared with the people on the list, Jaywon should have made the cut with his song, Aje.

Confirming what Fokun said, another fan identified as Abiola Awonusi, tweeted that the singer’s songs, Aje and Saro should be considered for Best Vocal Performance and Best Alternative Song respectively.

Another fan identified by his Twitter handle as @bayus24 expressed surprise that the singer was not nominated.

Retweeting the comments of his fans, Jaywon said that The Headies has always been nonsense to him.

In a new post on his Twitter page, Jaywon said that he is blessed and beyond gifted.

The singer made another post on his Instagram page stating that the award did not bring him to where he is currently. He noted that hard work, God and his fans brought him this far.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Jaywon blamed hunger and poverty for the increasing number of Nigerian gay men. The singer who accepted the possibility of some people being born gay, stated that some people are only gay as a result of poverty and hunger.
