Nigeria’s Super Falcons did not move any spot in the latest FIFA ranking for Women’s national teams.
According to the ranking made public by world football governing body FIFA, on Friday, September 27, the Falcons remain Africa’s highest ranked team at 36 spot.
During the previous ranking exercise that was held in July, Nigeria gained two spots in the world, but did not move in September with the quartet of Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa and Ivory Coast making Africa’s top five.
The next Women’s world ranking is expected to be made public on December 13.
Legit.ng reported earlier that Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala opened her goal account for FC Barcelona Femini this season with a brace to inspire her side to 6-1 win over Atletico Madrid.
The two goals ensured the Nigerian forward ended her three matches without a goal since the start of the women's league this campaign.
