Emmanuel Okoye, a native from Anambra state, has been selected to represent the country at the Global Youth Peace Programme in Maldives.
According to the message to Legit.ng, Emmanuel said he received apt training to promote peace in the world and teach youth on viable ways to nation and peace building.
The programme held between Wednesday, August 28, and Sunday, September 1. This year’s event was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Community, Maldives National University, Institute for Economics and Peace, among others.
Among the objectives of the organisation is that it network and engender opportunities sharing between youths across the world.
The Nigerian representative won the Global Excellency Awards, some medals and also got the Global Youth Peace Ambassador Medal.
Emmanuel also performed with other ambassadors of the programme.

The Nigerian won second place in the senior category of the contest as Catherine Wa*ng, from Singapore, emerged the first winner.
