Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Governor Makinde said he was told that "50% of funds allocated for projects in the state went back to the governor, 30% to the appointee who allocated the project out of which 10% goes to the governor’s wife".

Makinde made this known during a media chat on his first 100 days in office with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) TV.

He said what he met on the ground was that only 10% of the total funds for a project go to the contractor for execution.
