There are many Nigerians who have made the nation proud in their different capacities in the diaspora. We have Misitura who developed metal anti-TB drug, Emmanuella Samuel who starred in Australian blockbuster Survive or Die, Yusuf Sambo, a tech expert leading 5G revolution in Scotland, to mention a few.
In a viral video on twitter, an unnamed Nigerian student in a Taiwan university spoke about how he made his university hoist his country's flag even though he is the only Nigerian in the school.
He said flags representing different nationals in the school are put up as insignias of their home countries.
The Nigerian student said having his nation's flag up shows he is very much "a big deal" in the institution.
What that means is that every foreign student in the school is an ambassador of their countries, and taken as such.
Many reacted to the video, commending the student for being a good ambassador of his country.
A user on the micro-messaging app called for his celebration by the Nigerian government for what he has done.
