- Jose Mourinho did not play football at the top level as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did

- Solskjaer replaced the former Real Madrid gaffer as Manchester United manager

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has explained that the experience Ole Solskjaer had while playing the game makes him have an edge over Jose Mourinho.

Before Ole Solskjaer became a manager, the Norwegian played football to the zenith of his career and also played for Manchester United.

Although Jose Mourinho is one of the most successful coaches in the world, the Portuguese never played football at the top level.

And now Marcus Rashford feels his current manager at Old Trafford understands his players the more than Jose Mourinho.

"Solskjaer is very different, but I think it's expected because he's played. Off the pitch he understands the players a bit more,'' Rashford told BBC's Lineker according to Mirror UK.

Gary Lineker asked Marcus Rashford further if it was a problem for Jose Mourinho for him not to have played at the top level.

"I don't think it was a problem for him, because he's obviously a top manager and he has his way of reading people," Rashford responded.

Meanwhile, since Jose Mourinho was asked to leave Manchester United, he has not returned to management.
