Nigeria's technical adviser Gernot Rohr has lost his mother Elisabeth Rohr at the age of 97.
The Nigeria Football Federation through its official Twitter handle announced the news but the cause of her death was never revealed.
This news also came barely two days after the tactician led the Super Eagles to a 2-2 draw in an international friendly against Ukraine at the Dnipro Stadium.
Although, his team were leading for most part of the match, they relinquished their lead in the game with just about 12 more minutes towards the end of the meeting.
Rohr has been in charge of the three time African champions since 2016, after taking over from former boss Sunday Oliseh.
The German tactician led Nigeria to win bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations championship held in Egypt earlier this summer.
Legit.ng earlier reported that the Nigerian Football Federation have announced the shocking demise of former Super Falcons forward Ifeanyi Chiejine who died after a brief illness.
According to the statement by the Nigeria's Football governing body, the former Confluence Queens of Lokoja striker died on Wednesday, August 21.
But the details of her untimely death was not revealed by the Nigeria's Football body.
