Minister of state for Niger Delta, Festus Keyamo, has revealed that he went straight to visit President Muhammadu Buhari immediately the presidential election petition tribunal dismissed the argument by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seeking to disqualify the president, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2019 general election.
The five-man tribunal headed by Justice Garba Mohammed had on Wednesday, September 11, affirmed President Buhari’s victory in the February 23 presidential election.
Recall that Atiku Abubakar of the PDP had rejected the outcome of the presidential election and had approached the tribunal to challenge the victory of Buhari.
Keyamo described the judgement of the tribunal as well thought out and incisive.

Recall that Legit.ng had reported that the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday, September 11, congratulated President Buhari on his victory against the presidential candidate of the PDP at the election tribunal.
Wike, the coordinator of the Atiku’s campaign in the south-south during the 2019 presidential election, in a press statement signed by his media aide, Simeon Nwakaudu, urged the president to use his victory to work for Nigeria's unity.
Legit.ng had also reported that Buhari said the victory was a win for all Nigerians who came out en masse to vote for him.
He said he was not disturbed throughout the time the case was at the tribunal. He added that Nigerians gave him the mandate.
