Nigerian reggae musician Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek, is currently ill and battling for his life at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in England.
The veteran music act’s manager Uzoma Omenka, confirmed the state of his health via a video post shared on the official Instagram page of the singer.
Omenka, while dismissing rumors that Majek has died, confirmed that he was flown out of Nigeria due to the seriousness of his condition.
He called on fans and supporters of the 66-year-old star to extend their best wishes and prayers to him (Majek) during this trying period.

Omenka also cried out that they are in serious need of financial assistance to help go through the challenges. Although, he mentioned that the hospital bills are already being taken care of, he pointed out that the musician’s upkeep and other things still need to be sorted out.

Recall that this will not be the first time the reggae star will battle a medical condition that will gain public attention. In 2016, he was admitted into a drug rehabilitation centre in Abuja, after he admitted that he needed help to get better.
He is well known for his 1987 single Send Down The Rain; a song which gained him a lot of attention especially in the international scene.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously gathered that Majek was sighted on social media in a video in which he divulged the revelation he received from God about Nigeria. He made it known that it was only the Holy Spirit that could save the country.
