Neymar's assault accuser, Najila Trindade, will be heading to court room in the coming days to face a two-count charge.

According to reports, police in Sao Paulo, Brazil hinted on Tuesday, September 10, that Trindade, who claimed the PSG star and Selecao forward assaulted her without consent will be docked for fraud, extortion and slander.

Trindade’s ex-husband, Estivens Alves, will also be charged to court over allegations against Neymar back in May.

The Brazilian superstar has continuously denied assaulting the alleged victim in a Paris hotel room on May 15.

Initially, police closed the probe into the allegations in late July, with police investigator Juliana Lopes Bussacos saying in a news conference: "I did not see enough elements to indict."

However, on Tuesday, police said they indicted the accuser for procedural fraud, slanderous denunciation and extortion, while adding that Alves has been indicted for "disclosing material with ero*tic content from N. to a reporter."

“Based on the evidence gathered during the investigations, the delegate decided for the indictment of N. and Estivens Alves, her former partner, for procedural fraud (art. 347)," a statement from Sao Paulo police reads.

“She (the delegate) also decided to indict Alves for disclosing material with ero*tic content from N. to a reporter.

“After clarifying the criminal materiality, the authority also decided for the indictment of N. in the crimes of slanderous denunciation and ext*ortion.”
