Ukraine vs Nigeria ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw as the Super Eagles threw away a 2-0 first half lead to share the spoils with the Yellow-Blue at Dnipro.
Overall, it was a decent game for both sides as they tested their might against each other to know their strength tactically.
But there were many lessons to take home from the match as Gernot Rohr's men gave Andriy Shevchenko's side a run for their money.

Here are five things we learnt from the match
1. Promising young squad
New legs were introduced into the squad and it did not seem like the regular first team starters like Wilfred Ndidi, Ahmed Musa and retired John Mikel Obi as well as Odion Ighalo, were missed in the match.
Joe Aribo showed flashes of brilliance as a box-to-box midfielder and Semi Ajayi partnering well with William Troost-Ekong in the center-back position.
2. Formidable attacking five
One of the eye-catching displays of Rohr's side was when the team pushed forward to attack with the likes of Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo, Samuel Kalu, Samuel Chukwu, and Victor Osimhen
The attacking five created several chances which put the Ukrainians on their toes when they have to defend a counter-attack.

3. A bit of selfishness
The team would have added to their two-goal advantage if they had been selfless in the key moment of converting chances.
Iwobi, Kalu and Chukwueze had several opportunities that would have been buried by Osimhen who was in a better position to score.
4. Lack of concentration is still a problem as it was in Russia 2018 and AFCON 2019
The team lost concentration in the second half which allowed the eastern European side to gain confidence as they pushed for their equalizer.
Rohr have lost key games at the World Cup to Argentina and at AFCON to Algeria in last few minutes of a game which was almost repeated against Shevchenko's side.
The three-time African champions went to sleep as they conceded two goals in two minutes and could have lost the game if not from outstanding saves from Francis Uzoho.
5. Poor game management from Rohr
Rohr has been known to ring in changes late in a match and it sometimes have a negative effect in the outcome of the game.
The German tactician started making changes in the 70th minute in a friendly which allows as many as possible.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier mentioned the top four Super Eagles players that shined in the 2-2 draw against Ukraine.
The three-time African champions led 2-0 in the first half but conceded two goals in quick succession to share the spoils with the Yellow-Blue.
