- The EFCC has arrested 13 suspected internet fraudsters in Enugu
- The suspects were arrested at their residences in Maryland area of the state

The Enugu zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday September 10, arrested thirteen suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo-Yahoo, in Lomalinda extension area of Maryland in the state capital.
Legit.ng reports that the anti-graft agency said the suspects include, Frank Ikechukwu, Bright Alozie, Aloysious Ani, Ikenna Kingsley, Prince Ofoeze, David Ugonna, Prinewill Onyia, Chibuike Ebulue, Charles Chinedu, Christopher Patrick, Emeka Joel, Valentino Simon and Joseph Ani.
The EFCC said the operation was a fallout of intelligence regarding the activities of the suspects alleged to have defrauded unsuspecting members of the public including foreigners.
"Some of the items recovered from the suspects include several mobile phones, laptop computers, several Identification and ATM cards, a Honda Accord Salon car, three Lexus ES350 cars, a Mercedez Benz C300 and other incriminating items which are being analysed," the anti-graft agency said
The agency also noted that the suspects have made useful statements, adding that further investigations would be undertaken to verify the extent of their involvement.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the EFCC said it recovered the sum of $169,850 and N92 million from internet fraudsters due to its collaboration with the Federal Bureau for Intelligence (FBI).
