Some supporters of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday, September 11, took to their social media handles to pray for the victory of ex-vice president ahead of the tribunal judgement.
Legit.ng reports that the presidential election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja, the nation's capital, is set to deliver judgement in a suit filed by Atiku and his party against the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari during the February 23 election.
In her message, a twitter user, @RadioMercy198, said things would turn better for Nigerians if Atiku is declared winner of the election.
"I hope and wish things will turn around for Nigerians today... the state of this country is pathetic everything has gone from bad to worse," she said.
Grace Okagbare tweeted: “Dear Daddy @atiku In d public court, you have obviously been served justice as d winner of the presidential poll. And at the tribunal, one thing is now clear and would be registered in our history forever; you rose to the occasion to save her.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the camp of the former vice president said it was hopeful that judgement would go in its favour.
It was reported that Paul Ibe, the spokesperson to Atiku, said on Tuesday, September 10, that they were optimistic that the tribunal would deliver judgement in Atiku’s favour.
