Premier League champions Manchester City have emerged as the most expensive squad in world football after the Citizens spent £906m to gather their players.

The Etihad landlords are topping the likes of Paris-Saint-Germain who spent big to sign Neymar and also Real Madrid who dropped massive amount to sign Eden Hazard.

Manchester City spent big on the signing of Kelvin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, and Algeria international Riyad Mahrez.

According the report on UK Mirror citing CIES Football Observatory, they came up with the list after going through the four biggest leagues in European Football.

They went through the Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Serie A in Italy, German Bundesliga and the French League 1 before coming out with their list.
