Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) who was accused of rape by Busola Dakolo, celebrity photographer and wife of popular musician, Timi Dakolo, has reacted to the suit instituted against him by Mrs Dakolo.

Speaking via his personal assistant, Ademola Adetuberu, in a telephone chat with Premium Times on Monday, September 9, the pastor said he had not yet received a copy of the suit.

Legit.ng gathers that Fatoyinbo said he can only obey the reported court order if he was formally served.

Adetuberu said: “The only thing we know about the suit is what has been circulated online. The pastor has not received any court summons. We were only told about a report in the media that he is to appear in court within 14 days.

“But you know that for a person to appear in court, he first has to be served with the summons by the bailiff.”

Fatoyinbo or his counsel had been ordered by the Federal High Court in Abuja, to appear before the court within 14 days of receiving the summons, following an application by Mrs Dakolo.

The applicant is seeking a public apology from Fatoyinbo for the alleged rape which she says occurred in 2002, before she turned 18.

Mrs Daokolo is also seeking N10 million, which is the cost of instituting the suit.

The applicant said the alleged incident caused her untold emotional stress, and has also listed another influential Nigerian pastor, Matthew Ashimolowo, as one of her witnesses.
