Eden Hazard could make his La Liga debut for Real Madrid earlier than expected after the club's medical team gave a positive update on his injury, reports in Spain claims.

The 28-year-old completed a £130million move from Chelsea during the summer and did not feature in Los Blancos' season opener against Celta Vigo.

Hazard suffered a thigh injury in training just days before the start of the new season, and now, Real's medical staff have revised their initial assessment due to his impressive recovery.

The former Lille star was believed to be on the sidelines for a month but could be in starting line up at the Bernabeu when Madrid travel to Villarreal on September 1, Marca claims.

The positive injury update has also provided a big boost to the Belgium as they will be taking on San Marino and Scotland in their Euro 2020 qualifier on September 6 and 9.

Hazard can return against the Yellow Submarines if there are no relapse and will also be available for selection for his country during the inter.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Eden Hazard, Real Madrid star, has cropped a thigh injury that will see him miss La Liga opener against Celta Vigo on Saturday, August 17, away from home.at the Estadio Municipal de Balaídos.
