- Tammy Abraham is not ruling out playing for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the future
- The Chelsea striker had once turned down an invitation from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)
- The 21-year-old has played for England youth sides and recently made his senior debut against Croatia
Tammy Abraham has raised hopes of Nigerians looking forward to see him play for the Super Eagles in the future despite getting England youth and senior caps.
The Chelsea striker who missed the decisive spot-kick that gave Liverpool the Super Cup trophy in Istanbul, believes wearing the green and white colours of Nigeria is still a possibility for him.
“Anything is still possible. I have not ruled it out completely but we will see," Abraham told ACLSport in an exclusive interview shortly after the loss at Istanbul.

He had successful loan spells at Bristol Rovers, Swansea City and Aston Villa before returning to Stamford Bridge to play under new manager Frank Lampard.
And he was in the starting XI when Chelsea were thrashed 4-0 at Old Trafford by Manchester United in season their opener.
The 21-year-old was subbed on for Olivier Giroud in the Super Cup final against the Reds and won an extra time penalty that helped Chelsea level the score at 2-2 before going into shoot-outs.
When asked if he he volunteered to take the penalty he said: “Naah, no way, I just went to say a few words, Jorginho is the master of penalty kicks.”
He also made comments about his missed spot-kick: “I have scored goals everywhere I have been and I always back myself to score goals. I have also scored penalties but tonight it was not to be.
"The senior players have been wonderful to me and the manager especially too. They have told me to forget about it and just get on with the job, that these things happen and we are expected to learn and grown from it. I intend to do just that.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Samuel Chukwueze opened his account for Villarreal in the 4-4 draw against Granada in their opening La Liga fixture.
The Super Eagles forward played the entire 90 minutes while Ramon Azeez who represented Nigerian at the 2014 World Cup came in as a second half substitute for Granada.
