Manchester United have reportedly admitted that they abandoned chase for Bruno Fernandes after scouts noticed he gives away the ball too often.
The Portuguese midfielder was tipped as replacement for Real Madrid target Paul Pogba in a £64 million deal this summer.
However, the Red Devils pulled a plug on the move for the Sporting Lisbon star after their scouts advised them on the status of the player as reported by SunSport quoting Daily Mail.
The publication further revealed that the 24-year-old managed to complete 75.1 percent passes last season as compared to Paul Pogba's 82.8 percent success rate.
Meanwhile, Fernandes was said to have showed the quality that attracted interests from top European coaches on Sunday.
He put the ball one side of a Maritimo defender and then sprinted past him on the other side in his team's draw.
