Chidozie Awaziem, Super Eagles defender, is closing in on a move to La Liga campaigners CD Leganes from FC Porto.
Awaziem was on the radar of several European clubs after his decent performances for the Super Eagles at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Complete sports report suggests Awaziem will pen a five-year contract with the Spanish outfit.
Interestingly, if the move sees the light of the day, CD Leganes will have two Nigerian internationals in the first team, with Kenneth Omeruo joining the club on a permanent switch from Chelsea on Tuesday, August 13.
Awaziem arrived at Porto back in 2014 before making his senior debut in a league game against CD Feirense in January 2016.
At the last count, the 22-year-old featured in 10 league games for Porto, as he found it tough to tie down a permanent jersey.
Awaziem also had loan spells in France and Turkey with Nantes and Caykur Rizespor respectively.
In a related development, Super Eagles forward Moses Simon is nearing a season-long loan switch to French Ligue1 side Nantes from Levante.
According to L'Equipe, the Canaries are expected to announce the deal in the coming hours.
The Nigerian international was among the Super Eagles squad that claimed bronze at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
