Members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Edo state are in jubilant mood as their leaders, Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, and the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, ended their widely reported rift.
The APC members expressed their happiness with pictures of the two leaders prominently displayed on their Twitter page on Tuesday, August 13.
They also expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari, national leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi, Governor El Rufai of Kaduna state, Aliko Dangote and His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II.
According to the party, the next step is to focus on the 2020 gubernatorial election in the state.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Oshiomhole brushed aside claims of a rift between him and Governor Obaseki.
The APC national chairman revealed this to pressmen after a meeting with Obaseki which lasted for around an hour at his (Oshiomhole's) home in Iyamoh in Estako west local government area of Edo state.
Oshiomhole also said there was nothing unusual about the meeting between the two men.
