The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) invites interested registered Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and any other interested stakeholders, whose focus is on overnance, Democracy, and election especially if they wish to observe the upcoming Bayelsa and Kogi States Governorship elections.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Organizations that have submitted written applications need to complete and make submissions of the prescribed application form(s) EC 14A (I) since this is the only acceptable application format.
  • Successful observer groups will need to fill the accreditation form (EC 14(II) for Election observers. It can be obtained at the “Elections and Party Monitoring Deportment, INEC Headquarters, Maitama, Abuja”.
  • The completed application forms (EC 14A (II) should be accompanied with passport – sized photos of those to be deployed to the 2 States. This makes it possible for the Commission to produce identification tags for the observers depending on where they will be deployed.
  • You need to submit separate application forms for the two states.
