Ivan Perisic has joined Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on a season-long loan from Inter Milan.
According to a report on Bayern’s official website, the Bundesliga giants have an option to make the deal permanent, after the expiration of the loan switch next year.
The 30-year-old Perisic spent four seasons at San Siro, after joining Inter Milan in 2015 and has been a regular face in the Nerazzurri starting XI, netting eight times in Serie A last campaign.
Perisic is expected to battle the pair of Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman for a starters spot at the Allianz Arena and is likely to make the match day squad in Bayern's opener game against Hertha Berlin on Friday.
Previously, Perisic played in the German topflight for Borussia Dortmund before leaving for Wolfsburg midway through the 2012-13 season.
At the last count, the Croatian international claimed domestic double with Dortmund in 2012 alongside another DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup with the Wolves.
Perisic has earned 82 caps for Croatia so far after his exploits at the 2018 World Cup.
"I am very happy to be back in Germany," Perisic was quoted as saying to Bayern's official website.
"Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in Europe. We want to attack not only in the Bundesliga and in the DFB-Pokal, but also in the Champions League."

Bayern's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic summed up: "Ivan will help us with his many years of experience at an international top level immediately.
"He is technically strong and flexible in attack. I'm sure Ivan will integrate quickly as he already knows the Bundesliga and our coach Niko Kovac well."
Legit.ng reported earlier that Bayern may end their case of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in their Community Shield triumph over Liverpool last weekend.
The German star limped off the pitch after just 13 minutes of action at Wembley Stadium, which could end Bayern Munich's £145 million for the wide-man.
