President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with all the 2019 Nigerian pilgrims over the successful completion of their Hajj rites and the Eid-el-Kabeer celebrations.
President Buhari also condoled with families, government, pilgrims and Hajj officials over the death of some pilgrims in the exercise.
The chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON), Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammad, represented the president at the occasion in Muna on Monday, August 12, The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
The president called on the pilgrims to intensify prayers for Nigeria to overcome all its socio-economic, political and security challenges.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the number of Nigerian pilgrims for the 2019 Hajj pilgrimage who had died in Saudi Arabia has risen to nine.
This was revealed by Ibrahim Kana, chairman of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) medical team, on Monday, August 11.
The number increased following the collapse of a female pilgrim from Lagos state, Alhaja Folashade Lawal from Oshodi local government area.
