Jose Mourinho has ruled out chances of Man United and Chelsea lifting the Premier League title, just days into the new season.

The Portuguese tactician sensationally claimed Manchester City's substitutes would more likely lift the title compared to United and the Blues.

He instead named four different teams he believes can mount a serious title challenge this campaign.

Among the teams Mourinho believes stands a better chance include Man City and Liverpool, with Tottenham having an outside chance.

"Four [teams can win the title]. Man City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City B team. I think the [City] B team could fight for the title," he said while appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports.

"Last season was phenomenal but I think Tottenham has to join it," he added.

Man City lifted he coveted trophy in the last campaign, beating Liverpool by a single point in a race that was decided on the final day of the season.

Meanwhile, Man United kicked of their new campaign on a flying start, demolishing Chelsea 4-0 in their season opener at Old Trafford.
