Pictures have emerged of Ibrahim El-Zakaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) and his wife, as they prepare to depart Nigeria for India for medical treatment.
El-Zakzaky and his wife have been in detention following clash between members of his group and the Nigerian Army.
In a couple of pictures shared by Daily Trust, the leader of the group popularly known as Shiites was seen with his wife as they prepare to depart the country for medical treatment in India.
A source said the Shi'ite leader was transported to Abuja from Kaduna via the train service and that he was heavily guarded by operatives of the Department of State Services.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that on Monday, August 5, the federal high court Kaduna granted a medical leave to El-Zakzaky, and his wife Zeenat.
The court in its leave approval an application for a leave to India for medical treatment for the IMN leader and his wife who have remained in detention at the headquarters of the State Security Services (SSS) in Abuja since December 5.

However, on Wednesday, August 7, the Kaduna state government said it has filed terms for strict supervision of the medical leave granted to him and his wife.
Despite the court order, the Kaduna state commissioner of internal security and home affairs, Samuel Aruwan listed seven conditions for which the IMN leader and his wife will be allowed to travel.
