Sane has been out of action since August 5 after suffering cruciate ligament injury and he's expected to return in February 2020.

However, the German has stepped up his recovery process as he eyes a return before the end of this year.

The publication reveals that the forward has returned to the gym, and he is awaiting the doctors report to start jogging after the international break.

Sane has scored 39 goals and 45 assists in 139 appearances in all competitions since he joined Man City from Schalke 04 in 2016.

The German League champions are hopeful of landing the 23-year-old before the end of this transfer window after the departure of both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery last season.

Although, it is clear that the Premier League champions are not ready to allow their man leave anytime soon, the Bavarians are however not giving up on the player's chase.
