Romelu Lukaku was subjected to verbal ‘attack’ during the final days of his stay at Manchester United.

According to the Metro, the 26-year-old Belgian completed a £74m switch to Inter Milan on transfer deadline day, ending his 24 month stay at Old Trafford.

Shortly after Solskjaer’s arrival last December, the Norwegian told Lukaku he would no longer be Man United’s first choice.

The Belgian was among the first returnees for Old Devils pre-season as he attempted to force a move, but after Man United rejected numerous bids from Inter Milan, he became worried.

Lukaku then increased his social media activity by uploading United’s training data onto his official Twitter page and this did not go down well with club chiefs and fans.

But Lukaku used the post to prove to doubters that he topped the charts for ‘top speed’ during the club’s pre-season tour.

The confidential data also showed that Luke Shaw came last and it subjected the left-back to series of bashing from United fans.

The Times claims Solskjaer was furious with the forward’s actions with the club telling Lukaku to delete the tweet.

Solskjaer reportedly faulted the Belgian for putting his teammates on the wrong-side of the fans

This was the latest in a long line of grievances United’s staff have had over Lukaku this summer.

Man United staff further claimed the striker was exaggerating injury issues during the pre-season tour after he told the backroom staff at the end of sessions that he was not feeling right.

Lukaku was also accused of having a negative effect on squad members after he spent the final 48 hours of his time away from Man United training with former club Anderlecht.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Belgium international Romelu Lukaku has finally joined Italian League giants Inter Milan from Manchester United this summer.

The 26-year-old striker sealed a move away from Old Trafford in a deal valued around £73 million on transfer deadline day in England.
