Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has reportedly completed a permanent move to Spanish football giants Leganes from Premier League side Chelsea.

According to the latest report by Marca, Dimitris Siovas who plays as a defender for Leganes confirmed the information that Kenneth Omeruo has signed for the club.

The report added that Omeruo will sign a contract until 2024 and Leganes are expected to pay Chelsea a transfer fee in the region of 4.5 million euros.

Since Kenneth Omeruo joined Chelsea from Standard Liege in January 2012, he has never enjoyed any playing time with the Blues.

And upon his signing, he went on loan to Dutch top-flight side ADO Den Haag where he impressed enough in the Eredivisie to earn a call up to the Nigerian national team.

He has however become a strong member of the Super Eagles squad as Omeruo was among the Nigerian team who won the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.

Omeruo also represented Nigeria at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt where Super Eagles won bronze medal at the championship.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo confirmed his readiness to remain in the Spanish La Liga when the 2019/20 season starts in Europe.

Kenneth Omeruo is a Chelsea player, but played on loan for RCD Leganes where he was superb last season.

His performances last term in the Spanish La Liga also helped him to make the Super Eagles final squad for the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
