Abdulmumin Jibrin who is a member of the House of Representatives from Kano state has joked about his reported suspension by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a post on twitter, the lawmaker also joked about his lack of committee in the House saying he was now chairman committee on babysitting and member of the babysitters party.
Amidst the talk of his suspension by the APC, the lawmaker said he "received for the umpteenth time the entire elected and appointed counsellors of Bebeji LG.
He also received the entire APC ward chairmen and secretaries and LG exco including members of caucus of Bebeji and Kiru LG who came on a solidarity visit to his place.
Legit.ng earlier reported that the APC in Bebeji local government area of Kano state suspended Jibrin who represents Bebeji/Kiru federal constituency at the lower chamber claiming that its decision followed a recommendation by a seven-man committee.
According to the party, Hon Jibrin was suspended over alleged anti-party activities.
Legit.ng had also reported that the lawmaker may have gone spiritual over his reported suspension. Jibrin, an ally of the speaker of the green chamber, Femi Gbajabiamila, released a set of photographs days after the purported suspension by the party.
Meanwhile, Speaker Gbajabiamila recently revealed that Jibrin declined accepting any committee leadership.
Gbajabiamila made the disclosure on his Facebook page on Monday, July 26, saying Jibrin was not excluded from the leadership composition.
"Let me clarify that Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin was not excluded from the leadership composition. He was involved in the composition process and declined accepting any committee leadership.
"Hon Jibrin had, repeatedly, made clear his intention to leave the House. My persuasions and that of some other leaders convinced him, reluctantly, to stay a bit longer," he said.
