- Jurgen Klopp has named Arsenal among teams that will challenge for EPL title this season
- The German tactician also believes Chelsea and Everton will be competitive
- Liverpool will curtain-raise the 2019/20 campaign with a clash against Norwich
Jurgen Klopp is bracing up for a difficult Premier League campaign after missing out on the title by a single point to Manchester City last season.
Klopp believes up to six teams will be challenging for Premier League title, including Chelsea who are currently under the tutelage of Frank Lampard.
The German tactician contends Lampard's arrival at Stamford Bridge will reignite them ahead of the new season despite not being able to make any signings due to an existing transfer ban.
The Liverpool boss further admitted Arsenal will be no pushovers, also backing big-spenders Everton to leave a mark this season.
"I'd say there are at least six teams in contention. Everton, for example, have tried to stay very ambitious," he told Sky Sports.
"I don't know where people get the idea that Arsenal will not challenge, that Chelsea will not challenge with Frank [Lampard] bringing complete excitement to the club," he submitted.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will curtain-raise the 2019/20 campaign with a mouthwatering clash against Norwich on Friday, August 9.
The Reds will be hoping to bounce back from their heartbreak last season and win their first league title since 1990.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that England legend Alan Shearer believes Liverpool will beat Manchester City to win the Premier League title this season.
Pep Guardiola's men lifted the trophy for the second straight time last campaign after beating the Reds with just one point at the end of the season.
The Citizens also started well this new term after edging the Merseyside team on penalties to win the Community Shield.
