The names of the proud Nigerian scientists are Dr Ademola Adenle, Dr Daniel Akinyele, Dr Obidimma Ezezika, Dr Blesssing Mbabie, Dr Ebele Mogo and Dr Eucharia Nwaichi.

The founder and chairman of the forum, Thierry Zomahoun, disclosed this on Monday, August 5, in Kigali, Rwanda.

The chairman also added that the contribution of the scientists will be towards solving the continent’s problems.

Some of their research works are in areas such as renewable energy, precision medicine, health systems, food security, climate science, nanotechnology, and urban planning.

It should be noted that the class is made of 11 women who are all under 42 years.

“I am excited to announce the third class of NEF Fellows for two reasons. The first is that we are almost at parity, with 11 women in the class. The second is the variety of fields and countries from where the Fellows come from.

“We strongly believe their current and future discoveries will solve global challenges and we are excited to introduce you to them,” he said.
