- Singer Simi has shared her opinion on the idea that being married makes a woman special

Nigerian songstress Simi Ogunleye, popularly known as Symplysimi, has shared her thoughts on how women her treated after marriage. The singer stated that people make it seem like everything is excusable once you are married.
Simisola, who joined the list of married women earlier this year after tying the knot fellow singer, Adekunle Gold, took to Twitter to express her thoughts.
The singer stated that she dislikes the fact that people defend married women by saying things like 'how can you talk to a married woman like that? or you can't do that to her. Do you know she's married?'
She expressed that she knows they mean well when they say things like that, but she believes putting it that way implies that single women can be disrespected.

According to her, being married does not elevate the value of a woman, and every woman must be treated respectfully married or not.
Simi also added that married women need to erase the idea that they are special just because they are married. She noted that special comes from the good yo do and the value you add.
