- A Nigerian woman named Linda Bello-Monerville recently recounted how she lost her three sons to gang violence
- The three children were lost to different violent incidents; one was shot, the other two were stabbed to death
- The woman and her husband broke down during their interview with a British media house
A Nigerian woman named Linda Bello-Monerville is in pains after her son David Bello-Monerville was stabbed to death in Barnet, London, last month - he was the fifth person killed in just six consecutive days.
But Linda's grief did not just start last month; the Nigerian mother earlier lost two other sons to gang violence. Six years ago, her 19-year-old child Joseph Burke-Monerville was also shot in a case of mistaken identity and no one was ever convicted for the killing.
In 1994, the eldest brother Trevor Monerville was 26 when he was stabbed to death in London. Again, no one has ever been convicted for his death.

The aggrieved Linda recently spoke to Good Morning Britain alongside her husband John. The devastated parents revealed how they thought that, by sending their kids abroad, they were keeping their family safe.
But, to their astonishment, just six months after Joseph returned from Nigeria to London with his twin Jonathan, he died after getting shot in the head.
John who looked downcast said: "The second set of twins - I recall one day they came home saying they got in a fight at school and a young lad who was a spectator at the time of the fight offered one of them a knife and asked him to use it.
"They came home and told us that story. The next day we talked about it and decided to repeat what we did with the first set (by sending them to Nigeria)."
Linda sobbed so much beside her husband so that she had to be given a box of tissues by the presenter Kate Garraway. Her husband who spoke for the most part told Good Morning Britain this: "I have to hold onto what is left of my family."
When Linda found her voice, she had this to say: "We don't want them to be counted in the statistics of gun culture, we just want them to have a good education. I just want justice. Justice has not been done for Joseph, justice has not been done for Trevor."

Meanwhile, three men have been charged with aggravated burglary in relation to David's death whereas a trial into the 2013 shooting of Joseph collapsed with a coroner ruling he had been unlawfully killed.
Speaking the minds of other people, the grieving parents said that they would not wish what they had gone through to happen to their worst enemy.
London has been battling a knife crime epidemic with terrible stabbings and death records skyrocketing to the highest level since the Second World War.
