One of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees, Festus Keyamo, showed up at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday, July 29, for asset declaration oath.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Keyamo, who arrived at court 11, located at the third floor of the building, at about 3.02pm, headed straight to Justice Nkeonye Maha’s office with some documents in his hand.
Keyamo, a human rights activist, reportedly came to the court with five other men, who waited for him.
It was learnt that he spent about 15 minutes in Maha’s office, before coming out to join the men.
He told journalists that he was not disposed to granting any interview just before heading to another office where he spent some minutes.
As he was about to enter his car, Keyamo told journalists: “Please, I am sorry, I won’t be able to say much, because I am in a hurry to submit my asset declaration form at the CCB before they close for the day.”
The report quoted a reliable source at the court as confirming that the ministerial nominee came to swear to an affidavit in respect of his asset declaration certificate.
He reportedly drove out of the Federal High Court at about 3.41pm.
