Popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has alleged that there are plans by some people in high places to ab duct his wife over the controversial abuse scandal rocking the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos on Sunday, July 21, Dakolo said, since he decided to seek justice against the pastor for allegedly raping his wife Busola as teenager their lives have been under threat.
Timi also said that his lawyer has been directed to respond to Saturday's invitation of the police.
“As a father and a protector of my home; I have decided to come out and speak publicly against this harassment, bully and maliciousness that we have received as law abiding citizens of Nigeria just because my wife decided to speak her truth and I believe her and stand by her.”
“I will never leave her side and I will do my best to protect her," Timi said.
Sharing some highlights on the invitation by the Police at his residence in Lagos, Timi said the people that came to his house were carrying guns.
“Nobody comes to drop letter with a vehicle that has tinted glasses and have men with guns that are trailing a car. When they followed my wife into the compound, someone said my Oga wants to see you in the bus."
"She said no, I don’t know your Oga, who are you?” Timi queried.
Stating that the bus which the men suspected to be Police officers came in was parked on the street of his house for a long time it never crossed his mind that the occupants of the vehicle were trailing his family.
He said: "As she came back from the road and was about to enter the compound, the bus followed her and blocked my gate. It is a sign that this people have been trialing and following her all the while.”
“If she had not insisted that no I don’t know you, I cannot follow you, we now said Oga what do you want. You don’t just come into peoples’ compound and said you just came to drop letter with an armed man. It is not possible.” he added.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that after been served an invitation by the Police, Timi had on his Instagram page said that his lawyers has preempted him on possibility of such incident taking place.
Timi also called on some bloggers who he alleged have been writing misleading and untrue reports about the allegation raised by his wife against Pastor Fatoyinbo.
