Timi Dakolo: Aisha Buhari steps in as armed men lay siege on his house

- Aisha, the wife of President Buhari, has waded into the case of Timi and Busola Dakolo who home was besieged by security officials on Saturday, July 20

- The First Lady called the attention of the Police IG to look into the matter in a tweet on her official handle

- Aisha's tweet came hours after Timi Dakolo raised the alarm that security officials carrying guns were surrounding his house

Aisha Buhari, the First Lady of Nigeria and wife to President Muhammadu Buhari has waded into the matter between the police force and the family of Busola and Timi Dakolo.

Although the number woman in Nigeria has not spoken openly on the matter, Aisha tweeted to get the attention of the Inspector General of Police after news emerged that security officials had stormed the residence of the Dakolo’s purportedly to arrest them.

She tweeted:

The First Lady's tweet came hours after Legit.ng reported that singer Timi Dakolo posted on his verified Instagram page that his home had been besieged by people with guns.

The celebrity singer shared a photo on his social media page and expressed that the men are also armed with guns.

In the photo shared a white Toyota Hiace bus could be seen parked in front of his building.

The Dakolo saga began late in June when Busola accused her former pastor Biodun Fatoyimbo of forcefully haveing his way with her when she was still under-aged.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates (COPA) urged the police to immediately commence investigation on the rape allegation leveled against Pastor Fatoyimbo by Busola.

Busola accused Fatoyimbo, the Senior pastor, Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), of sexually abusing and raping her.

Pelumi Olajengbesi, leader of COPA, in a statement described the allegation as grievous and must therefore not be swept under the carpet.
